Obama challenges young Africans to fulfill Mandela's vision

Obama challenges young Africans to fulfill Nelson Mandela's vision for equality | Mail Online: "President Barack Obama has spoken movingly about his visit to the bleak prison cell where Nelson Mendela was confined for 18 years.

He said his young daughters Sasha and Malia, who stood inside the tiny cell with their parents, were forever changed by the experience.

'Seeing them stand within the walls that once surrounded Nelson Mandela, I knew this was an experience they would never forget,' he told 1,100 students at the University of Cape Town on Sunday. 'I knew they now appreciated a little bit more that Madiba and other had made for freedom,' Obama added, referring to Mandela by his clan name.

Obama used his speech to urge young Africans to fulfill Nelson Manela's vision for equality and opportunity on the continent.
